Jessi Schlachter attended Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Jessi continued her education at Lipscomb University where she received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Jessi gained therapeutic experience by serving the Nashville community in school-based counseling settings, high-risk inpatient and outpatient care settings, as well as in the private school community. Jessi is fully licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee. Jessi joined Rooted Counseling Center in 2015.
Jessi pursued counseling because she finds herself drawn to people’s stories. Jessi has a passion for counseling male and female young people and adults ages 16 and older. Jessi’s counseling skills include working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, body image issues, and life transition problems, such as obtaining a new job, divorce, going to college, coming of age, or moving to a new city. Jessi also works with clients who are seeking self-work and a deeper understanding of who they are. Jessi works to empower each of her clients to live their most earnest life. Jessi believes that therapy should feel like a place where clients can be and discover their true self.
Jessi is an approved clinical supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee, and she enjoys working with and supervising counselors who are seeking licensure themselves.
Jessi is married to Matt, they reside in Nashville with their dog, Lewis.
